Tri-Tronics
designs and manufactures Photoelectric Sensors, Fiber Optic Light Guides and Controls for a wide variety of industrial applications. SMARTEYE® EZ-PRO™
The SMARTEYE® EZ-PRO™ is a high performance, automatic photoelectric sensor that can be adjusted by a single push of a button. As a result, there is no guess work on the part of the operator.

Self Adjusting SMARTEYE® PRO™
The only "set it and forget it" Photoelectric Sensor. Make a simple initial setup, push one button and this unique sensor will maintain a perfect setting by automatically adjusting to deteriorating conditions during operation.  The SMARTEYE® PRO™ is an automatic event-driven, self-adjusting photoelectric sensor that compensates for deteriorating changes during operation. Adjustments are made by a single push of the AUTOSET button in either the static or dynamic operating condition. 

SMARTEYE® Mark III
The SMARTEYE® Mark III, the "first" high performance photoelectric sensor in a miniature size that you can use anywhere for any task...including your toughest industrial sensing applications.

The Mark III
Loaded with features and benefits, never before offered in a miniature sensor, including extremely high gain and high speed of response (50 microseconds). High gain enables the sensor to resolve the most difficult low contrast sensing tasks. High speed of response provides resolution of the exact position of objects traveling at high speeds.

OPTI-EYE
OPTI-EYE Photoelectric Sensors are miniature in size, high in performance, and versatile when applied to tough industrial sensing tasks. This sensor provides a combination of high gain and high speed of response (500 microseconds). High gain enables the sensor to resolve low contrast sensing tasks. High speed response provides resolution of the exact position of objects traveling at high speed.

    1. Establish one of the following conditions:
      Proximity - Reflect light off object.
      Beam Break - Remove object from light beam path.

    2. Depress either yellow or blue button for (3) seconds.

The TRI-TRONICS® RETROSMART retro-reflective sensor is optimized to detect translucent/transparent containers and shiny objects. You can depend on the RETROSMART™ sensor’s ability to reliablyClick for RetroSmart Brochure sense any object, regardless of the size or shape, from the leading edge to the trailing edge without false signals. This is required when the sensing task involves monitoring a conveyor line for jam detection. The Mark•Eye® is a registration mark sensor designed to see printed registration marks on most packaging materials on a continuous web. The “one-touch” set-up enables the sensor to be adjusted with a single push of a button. There is no more guess work, making the operator’s adjustment procedure easy!

The Mark•Eye® utilizes a white LED light source that is optimized to detect printed registration marks on translucent, transparent, and many metalized films and paper. This sensor is particularly useful on form, fill, and seal machines. Note that most packaging materials (except foil) are translucent! Many of the translucent packaging materials that we have tested allow light to penetrate either the backing material or the registration mark. Because this sensor operates in the opacity sensing mode, the color of the registration mark simply doesn’t matter!Click for ColorMark Brochure (pdf)
Note: Marks as small as 1/16” wide by 1/4” long can be detected, dependent upon web opacity (contrast) and velocity.

LABEL•EYEis a photoelectric sensor designed specifically to sense a large variety of adhesive labels. Since the LABEL•EYE™ is an automatic one-touch sensor…not the conventional "teach mode" sensor, set-up is simple. Position the gap between the labels directly under the sensors sight-guide and push the Autoset™ button. The sensor does the rest, adjusting itself to the perfect setting. Sensing labels has never been easier.

While designed for label detection, the LABEL•EYE™ can be useful in a variety of applications.

Mini-Eye™ is a full line of very economical, miniature photoelectric sensors designed to perform most sensing tasks from even the tightest locations. The rugged Mini-Eye™ sensors are waterproof and enclosed in high-impact plastic housings for use in hostile environments. They are also immune to indirect ambient light and strobes.

These versatile sensors are available in thru-beam, retroreflective and proximity models for performing object detection such as web break detection, counting, inspection, orientation...and much more!

Mini-Eye™ sensors offer a selection of either infrared (IR) or red LED light sources, and NPN or PNP output transistors. All models are available with quick disconnect or potted cables, and they can be operated in either the Light "ON" or Dark "ON" modes.
