VTSA ISO Valves                                                                                      VTSA Brochure (pdf)

Conforms to standard, but offers individual integration: The new valve terminal VTSA with 26 and 18 mm standard valves to ISO 15407-2 succeeds in squaring the circle. It not only combines pneumatic and electrical components but can be expanded to form a complete installation solution. Standardisation coupled with system modularity, and comprehensive safety features. VTSA – a further stage of integration within an overall system.

Integration ...
... of the VTSA into all current fieldbus systems and Ethernet via a CPX terminal plus interfaces for numerous I/O modules or as a multi-pin or terminal box variant for the simplest possible electrical connection: Festo plug & work®. Robust and easy to service, for on-site installation.

Flexibility ...
... and modularity – both electrical and pneumatic. All components can be easily changed or expanded to adapt to local conditions.

Safety ...
... and fault diagnosis with the integrated diagnostic concept, locally via LED or using a handheld control unit CPX-MMI, with feedback to the controller via a fieldbus.

Standardisation ...
... of the pneumatic valves in accordance with ISO 15407-2 with a plug in the sub-base, adapters for all current connector variants on the CPX terminal, multi-pin connections using sub-D connectors, or a terminal box.

Fast Switching Valves

The sprinter for short cycle times: With extremely short, but nevertheless highly precise switching times, MH2/3/4 valves on manifold blocks are ideal for fast air blasting, sorting, handling or packaging – with 100% duty cycle and continuous 3-shift operation. Without over-excitation to 48 V DC!
- Switching times: 2, 3 or 4 ms
- Repetition accuracy: better than 0.2 ms
- Flow rates: 100, 200 or 400 l/min
- Voltage: 5, 12, 24 V DC
- IP 40 / IP 65
- Directly actuated valves
- Minimal switching time with standard 24 V DC connection – precision pulsed / symmetrical on/off:
Manifold Mounting is available
- MH2: 2 ms      - MH3: 3.2 ms       - MH4: 3.5 ms

- Continuous 3-shift operation

- Fast commissioning
- Compact, narrow design

Wide variety of connection options: individual valves, semi in-line valves on manifold block, sub-base valves on manifold block with various connection caps for diverse thread connectors and QS push-in fittings. Pressure range: vacuum: - 0.9 to 8 bar, including prefabricated IP 65 cable

  HSP - High Speed Picker

The high-speed pick & place unit (HSP) is a ready-to-install, link guided module for handling small parts. The heart of the HSP is made up of a rocker arm, which is moved within an angular range of 220° by a DSM semi-rotary drive, and a cross guide, which generates pick & place motion. Cushioned travel into the HSP’s end stop is assured by means of a YSRW shock absorber.

The following sizes and respective stroke ranges are available as standard features:
HSP-12
- Strokes to 170 mm, Working load to 1.6 kg
Stroke range [mm] - Y: 52 to 68  - Z: 20 to 30

Cycle time [s] for C cycle: 0.6

HSP-16

Stroke range [mm] - Y: 90 to 110 - Z: 35 to 30
Cycle time [s] for C cycle: 0.8

HSP-25
Stroke range [mm] - Y: 130 to 170 - Z: 50 to 70
Cycle time [s] for C cycle: 1.0

(size designations refer to the diameter of the DSM semi-rotary drive)                              HSP Brochure (pdf)

Benfefits

- Strokes in the Y and X directions for pick & place positions can be adjusted independent of each other.
- Ideal cushioning through the use of special YSRW shock absorbers for handling applications with
   progressive characteristic curve
- Installation of all pneumatic and electrical connections at the rear of the HSP
- Adaptation to grippers and rotary drives is accomplished with existing adapter plates.
- HSP cycle times are less than those of 2-axis handling units (< 1 second for C cycle)

SLME Linear Actuators

The SLME utilizes a fine pitch ball screw and recirculating ball bearing guide to achieve high accuracy and repeatability.  The ball tracks of the SLME each have 4 contact points providing high dynamic load (up to 27kN) and moment (up to 1410 Nm) capacities.  This allows the design to be smaller and more compact by eliminating separate guiding systems.

  • Sizes: 23, 30, 46mm
  • Stroke lengths: 50 to 1,000mm
  • C7 class ball screw
  • Four sizes of pitch on ball screw, 2mm, 5mm, 10mm and 20mm
  • Wide range for third-party motor mounting kits
  • Minimized axial play between ball and groove is less than 0.02mm
