Pneumatic Actuators
Pneumatic actuators are intended to convert pressure energy into motion energy, a process involving the transmission and dissipation of forces. Festo was the first manufacturer in Europe to create pneumatic cylinders;
our first pneumatics range came out in 1956. Festo places great importance on outstanding production quality: Every drive is subjected to a comprehensive test program with function, leakage and endurance tests. These provide statistics confirming service life characteristics for the best possible operational safety. Festo’s vast line of pneumatic actuators include; cylinders with piston rods, rodless cylinders, tandem and multi-poistion cylinders, stopper, clamping, bellow and diaphragm cylinders. Within each of these categories there are still more choices such as compact, short stroke, guided and corrosion resistant versions.
