SCHMERSAL specializes in the design and manufacture of industrial switches, machine safety products, position sensors and related control accessories.
SCHMERSAL  is focused on supplying machinery builders and users with safety components which satisfy the machine guarding requirements of OSHA, ANSI and the European Machinery Directive.

INDIVIDUALLY KEYED SAFETY INTERLOCKS
Two-piece safety interlock switch consisting of rugged switch mechanism and geometrically unique (individually-coded) actuating key.  For use with movable machine guards which, when open, expose operator to machine hazards.

EMERGENCY ROPE-PULL SWITCHES
TQ Series rope-pull switches feature positive-break (direct action) NC contacts, manual pushbutton reset and pull and/or push (slack or broken cable) operation.
Ideal for use on conveyor lines, transfer lines, textile equipment, printing presses, or wherever immediate access to an emergency stop mechanism is desirable. One rope-pull switch conveniently replaces multiple stop pushbutton stations.

CODED MAGNETIC INTERLOCK SWITCHES
Tamper-resistant Series BNS coded magnet sensors feature multiple internal reed switches which only operate in the presence of the properly matched coded magnets.
Ideal for use in harsh environments such as food processing, chemical processing, metal cutting machinery where interlocks are regularly exposed to washdowns, cleaning solvents, lubricants or other hostile environments or where space limitations are severe.

SAFETY RELAY MODULES
Series AES safety circuit monitoring and control modules detect and locate faults in safety systems. Each features dual redundant logic and (at least) two positive-guided relays. These cross-monitoring logic circuits check for proper operation of each other, while also monitoring the integrity and operation of the safety circuit's positive-guided relays, interlock switches, coded-magnet sensors, emergency stop pushbuttons and interconnection wiring to "enable" machine operation.
